Henry Stephen Bangser Appointed Chief Operating Officer of Grenzebach Glier & Associates
Chicago, Illinois (April 19, 2006) – Grenzebach Glier & Associates, Inc. (GG&A), the Chicago-based international philanthropic consulting firm, has named Henry Stephen Bangser, the soon-to-retire Superintendent of the New Trier Township High School District, as its Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, effective August 1, 2006.
Dr. Bangser, who was voted in 1985 by The Executive Educator as one of the “Top Executive Educators in the United States and Canada to Watch,” has served as Superintendent at New Trier, in Northfield/Winnetka, Illinois, since 1990. New Trier has long been recognized as one of the preeminent public secondary schools in the country. The timing of Bangser’s retirement was first announced over two years ago by the New Trier Board, and his successor was named in late March. Before assuming the superintendent role in the New Trier District, he served as superintendent in two other school districts: Pelham, New York (1983-87) and St. Charles, Illinois (1987-90). For the past 12 years, he also has worked as a senior associate with The Bickert Group, Ltd., where he provided counsel to school boards on superintendent searches and board-superintendent retreats.
“We’re excited and extremely pleased to welcome Hank to our leadership team,” said John Glier, President and CEO of Grenzebach Glier & Associates, Inc. “I am confident that Hank Bangser is uniquely qualified to provide the leadership and management skills that will drive the growth of our firm over the next five years, and I look forward to working closely with him.”
