21st Century Leadership - Are You Truly Leading For This New Era?

Denise Barreto, Entrepreneur, author and TEDx speaker, founder and managing partner of Relationships Matter Now, LLC, as strategic business consultant firm based outside of Chicago

As we move deeper into the 21st Century, we need courageous leaders to drive innovation forward in the ever changing landscape we face. We can no longer cling to actions or practices from the 20th Century. Now more than at any other time in our history, we need leaders who understand what it truly means to lead and how that is different in the 21st Century. This learning session will challenge you wherever you are on your leadership journey. Through facilitated discussion, group exercises and prepared content, we will dive into three important aspects of 21st Century Leadership. Participants will be prompted to take a solid look at their current leadership journey and identify ways to ignite and sustain an even better journey ahead.

The Impact of Public Policy and the Mid-Term Elections on the Social Good Sector

Sally Ehrenfried, leads Philanthropy and Volunteer Engagement at Blackbaud, Inc. and is the Giving Institute’s Co-Chair of Public Policy Committee

Join fellow Giving Institute member and political enthusiast, Sally Ehrenfried, for an interactive conversation on the impact of public policy and the mid-term elections on the social good sector. Sally will bring us the latest on post-tax reform proposed “rule-making” and walk us through how the upcoming election could influence the make-up of Senate Finance and House Ways and Means Committees. Please come prepared to share what keeps you and your clients up at night as she wants to take our concerns back to the Charitable Giving Coalition, of which the Giving Institute is a member, and others.
